bloom gelatin | What is the main ingredient of Bloom Gelatin
The main ingredients of gelatin are animal skins, bones and tannery wastes, etc. The common gelatins on the market are mostly prepared from cowhide or pig skin. Gelatin is a macromolecular hydrophilic colloid, which is the product of partial hydrolysis of collagen. According to different uses, the quality requirements of gelatin are different. When used as an adhesive, the bonding strength is mainly required. When used in photography, food and other fields, the purity of the product is emphasized.

Bloom Gelatin classification:
1. According to the production method, glue is divided into alkaline gelatin (also known as type B gelatin), acid method gelatin (also known as type A gelatin), and enzymatic gelatin. The biggest difference between the three types of gelatin is that the pre-treatment process in the gelatin production process uses different methods. The yield of Type B gelatin ranks first among the three types of gelatin. The raw material is pretreated in alkaline medium and extracted in neutral medium after neutralization. Type A gelatin refers to the gelatin obtained by pretreatment of raw materials in acidic medium and extraction in acidic medium. Enzymatic gelatin refers to the gelatin extracted from the medium with moderate pH after the raw material is pretreated with enzymes.
2. Gelatin can be divided into edible gelatin, medicinal gelatin, photographic gelatin, and industrial gelatin according to its purpose.
3. According to the different quality, it can be divided into high-grade gelatin, low-grade gelatin and bone glue. Among them, high-grade gelatin is called gelatin for short, foreign called Gelatin, and low-grade gelatin and bone glue are called Glue.
