Production Procedure
Specialized Gelatin Production Process
Foodmate strictly controls the quality of products, from production to transportation, in order to provide customers with assured high-quality products and services.
The main raw materials of Foodmate gelatin are animal skin, bone, tendon, stress, and scale. The raw materials comply with local laws and regulations, which are kept in safe and intact conditions without unsafe risks such as diseases or viruses.
The purpose of pretreatment with dilute acid or alkali is to achieve the conditions for obtaining high-quality gelatin when the collagen structure is formed by thermal degradation of gelatin. We adjust the process parameters to obtain products with different process requirements.
A series of gelatin is obtained by controlling the temperature of the solution. The extraction can be performed in an acidic, neutral or alkaline environment. This is one of the most important steps in gelatin production. Both pH and temperature are controlled by our technicians to obtain gelatin with different parameters.
Use various filtration methods to purify the extracted gelatin solution. These methods include diatomaceous earth filtration, cellulose filtration and membrane technology. The filtered gelatin meets Foodmate's strict quality standards.
The filter system, vacuum evaporation system and sterilization system are applied in this step. This process gently removes water from the gelatin solution, thereby concentrating, and instantaneously sterilizing it at 140±2°C for 4 seconds. Food safety is the top 1 concern within Foodmate. High-temperature sterilization will destroy any microbial impurities.
In order to maintain a high international standard, gelatin is freeze-molded and dried. In the drying process, pre-filtered and sterilized air is used for drying. The dried gelatin is ground to different particle sizes. Products of different meshes are available within Foodmate.
Qualified semi-finished products with similar quality are mixed according to the quality indicators required by customers. Finally, the gelatin of consistent quality is produced for packaging.
The finished gelatin is packed in an inner plastic bag and outer paper-plastic compound bag. The specification is 25kg per bag. The end-Gelatin production process
